Trump is moving to immortalize himself with his name etched into coins, carved into pediments, and inscribed into marble. He wants to glorify himself in the most permanent ways possible.

We must not allow Trump to rewrite history with false tributes to himself.

It’s profoundly worrying that so many politicians and journalists, continue to use this platform which is increasingly a space for hate speech and far right propaganda. It’s having a serious impact on the state of national discourse. Government should at the very least make X abide by the law.
X is in clear + systemic breach of its legal duties in the UK to remove unlawful content from its platform.

Proof: when X users abuse + harass others with the racial slur "paki", X reporting system defends the racist abuse in more than 90% of cases reported.

A new thread documenting this.

Brits are also unaware the UK has no SPS deal with the EU which would reduce checks on produce coming EU to UK.

It's like landing at an airport with nobody checking your bags and you volunteering to travel 22km for checks.

It's a smugglers paradise and food safety is already a major problem.

I suspect being sued for a billion dollars by Donald Trump, who is about as popular as cholera in Britain, for saying something true about what Trump did (albeit with a bad edit) will probably do the BBC's public trust and approval ratings quite a lot of good in the end.

These massive batteries strategically placed to take and store the power from wind and solar could be a game changer.
Batteries are coming to Europe. Earlier this year Europe’s largest battery storage site went live at Blackhillock, Scotland.

The facility has a capacity of 300MW/600MWh.

Much larger batteries are under development: A huge 1 GW / 4 GWh system is being constructed in Jänschwalde, Germany.
