Moscareto and Okdong write the best short stories for Lunch Drunk Love. They always make me want a complete spinoff series based on them.

I have been so impressed by Cycling Hit! The baseball accuracy lends so much to the tone and setting, and our main couple is so compelling. Heedo is a prickly ass with a heart of gold and Sung is adorable but surprisingly flawed. Their mutual growth is lovely.

I actually think Punch Drunk Love is tremendously romantic. Even though our main character is so horny and fantasizes about wild kinks, at the end of the day their relationship is grounded in true intimacy and really being there for each other. I love them.

Easily The Ghost's Nocturne. I was skeptical of the plot at first but the first couple panels and its artistry blew me away. The story grows to be just as complex and gorgeous as the artwork over time!

There are so many incredible works but I regularly return to Blue Morning or Yuuutsu na Asa by Hidaka Shoko. It's a complex, emotionally fraught romance that is clearly informed by the changing cultural shifts of end of the Taisho era. The art is lovely and the intimacy evocative.
