& as a writer too, there is a "false sense of intimacy" between me & readers, especially ones that have known me in real life. I think for Sally, she was hurt that I set that boundary, because we're "friends", but I don't owe more than I'm willing to give as a writer and at this point.

Like, no Sally, we haven't spoken in three years. I will not be texting you a theological argument (scriptures only) about why it's okay for me to exist the way that God made me.
