#VeteransDay reminds us to honor those who have given so much to protect our freedom. I am eternally grateful for my late father, U.S. Air Force veteran Buddy Lujan, and for every veteran whose service strengthens our communities and our nation.

We told New Mexicans we would stand up for them, and that’s exactly what we’ve done. New Mexicans won’t go hungry while Republicans in Washington, D.C. manufacture crisis after crisis.

Happy 250th birthday to the United States Marine Corps!
Since Nov. 10, 1775, Marines have answered the call with courage and honor — 250 years of service, sacrifice and dedication to our nation. To every Marine, past and present: Thank you. Semper Fidelis — Always Faithful.

We’ve seen history made and progress achieved because of Nancy Pelosi’s legendary leadership in Congress. Thank you, Madame Speaker, for exemplifying what principled public service looks like. We wish you well in retirement!

We acted fast in October when the Trump administration abandoned New Mexican families, and now the legislature is coming back to finish the job.

Today’s court rulings confirm what we already knew: there’s no reason to deny food to vulnerable Americans. Still, New Mexico will continue to move forward with $30M in state-funded food benefits tomorrow so families can keep food on the table.

It’s been a challenging week, but Manny and I still managed to vote early in the Santa Fe Election.

Make a plan. Know your polling place. Show up. Your vote is how you shape the New Mexico you want to live in.

Times are tough, but politics shouldn’t be scary — unless I’m jumping out from behind a door. Wishing all New Mexicans a safe and spooky #Halloween! 👻🎃

Letting families go hungry is a moral failure. That’s why I joined 21 Democratic governors demanding the White House protect SNAP funding during this reckless federal shutdown.

Cutting SNAP is a cruel and inexcusable burden to place on working families, children, and seniors who don’t deserve it.

Trick-or-treaters will be out in full force this week. Please drive slowly, stay alert, and watch for children crossing streets. Kids are excited and may dart between parked cars or cross unexpectedly. Let's keep our communities safe so everyone can enjoy a fun Halloween! Let's keep our kiddos safe!

Enjoy the warmer temps today but get ready for a big change tonight! A cold front is moving in with strong north winds gusting up to 45 mph across eastern NM through Tuesday. First freeze expected Tuesday night for many areas across the state.

Stay safe and stay warm, New Mexico!

Republicans have shut down the government for three weeks because they don’t want to help Americans afford #healthcare — but the Trump White House found money for a gold-gilded ballroom. Who needs insulin when you’ve got chandeliers?

With sadness, I recently learned of the passing of former State Senator Clint Harden. New Mexico has lost a dedicated public servant, and I’ve lost a good friend. Manny and I extend our condolences to family, friends, and the communities he served so well. May his memory be a blessing.

Six months after my trade mission to Japan, we welcomed the Japanese ambassador and Fujitsu leaders to Santa Fe for talks on energy and technology. NMSU is exploring a Fujitsu partnership on an innovation hub, and a new report shows how New Mexico’s natural gas can help power Asia.

Congratulations to longtime Santa Fe resident Arthur Sze, named the 25th U.S. poet laureate by the Library of Congress. His award-winning poetry, rooted in nature and the spirit of the southwest, reminds us of the power of poetry to connect, reflect and inspire. New Mexico could not be prouder.

The New Mexico State Police is actively recruiting women to join our ranks.
