This poor family. That poor young man. It's heartbreaking.

I found this terrible event terrifying. It could have happened to any man who looked vaguely Mediterranean. My husband, who's actually half Chinese, my sons-in -law, one Jewish the other of Welsh/Irish/Italian, another friend who is Serbian. They all fit the 'dark haired dark eyed' target look.
