COVID-19 Long-Hauler "retired" from cybersecurity, now occupied by books, music, yarn, and flowers.
Swatching with a brand new to me yarn to discover what it likes to do. It is an unpopular activity with many knitters, but I love knitting with no expectation, just knitting several inches to see what happens, and then trying a stitch pattern.

I'm an oppportunistic knitter - I knit whenever I have the opportunity!

I do love knitting in the morning quiet but that's been challenging recently due to Long COVID, and shorter, grey days of winter. Another reason to be happy about spring!

There has been a lot of thinking, calculating, frogging and reuniting on this. Have decided I really don't like knitting stripes in the round, but have persevered because I can't stop petting the swatch #knitting

Hellebores in my garden - it always amazes me that something that blooms this time of year is so big and beautiful!

The book was published quite a while ago, and I really don't knit for babies. Advanced pattern search on Ravelry? Oh - Ravelry shows used books available for cost of shipping?

I usually put details in the Alt Text; the Boys cardigans were all the Garter Stitch Cardigan by Melanie Falick and Kristin Nicholas

#ShowMeYourKnits babyknits part 2, for the baby sister to youngest Boy that came along a bit later. Cannot add alt text to this one?! Pattern is Hyphen by Lisa Chemery and 🧶 is ColourMart Extra Fine Merino 15/44NM DK Weight.

Yes, it was. Sadly it is no more, the bloody m*ths got it (and several other sweaters) a few years ago. 😫😢 Now my knits are stored much more securely

Thank you! I'm putting project details in the Alt description - but it is the February Lady Sweater by Pamela Wynne

After my experience, it was the first and only time I will knit a creature. I found it far too fiddly & not at all enjoyable to knit - and that was before LongCOVID broke my brain. But I love discovering the multitude of creatures that others have made!

In February 2018 I knit this beastie for DH, he adores otters. No hearts, or red or pink yarn, and love is not in the pattern name, but was a true manifestation of my love: his name is Valentine. Pattern is River Otter by Sara Elizabeth Kellner, 🧶 is Cascade EcoWool. #ShowMeYourKnits
