How are Goma and Bukavu doing under M23 occupation? Life doesn’t stop. Banks are closed or without money, hotels are open, ships connecting the cities are operational. You get an official DRC stamp when you cross the border. There are too many guns in circulation but fear keeps it all under control.

Bukavu, the eastern Congolese city that fell to M23 rebels last night, is an architectural gem & the cultural heart of Lake Kivu. Following this swift takeover, Rwanda now borders only rebel-held territory. The city is peaceful; updates in replies.
