GT7's gameplay is really good I just wish everything else surrounding it was.

I firmly believe Gran Turismo 4 was the pinnacle of the series and it just kinda went downhill from there.

yes I know they patched the game later that added other ways of grinding credits and whatnot, but still, what happened to the game I love?

Gran Turismo 7 being always-online (last I checked anyway) and that one patch where they neutered a way to grind credits to facilitate the shitty microtransactions, where you'd have to spend like $200 or some shit to buy one (1) car for 20 million credits really set the tone for that game.
