Best illustrated by the fact that I’m honestly not sure to which policy this refers… dismantling the provincial health authority, banning books in schools, police forces, pension plans, etc.

This is absolutely infuriating! What a waste of time and money. Teachers, EA’s and students can already tell the Minister precisely what needs to be done to solve the class complexity issue.

Who is he going to consult on this? How long will this take before teachers see any concrete action?

And while we’re on the subject, this government has further knee-capped teachers ability to meet diverse student needs, by implementing a curriculum that fails to consider developmentally appropriate material and volume. Teachers have even less time now to meaningfully connect 1-on-1 w/ students!

We need more EA’s in classrooms working alongside students, more teachers to mitigate large class sizes, more para-professional supports such as psychologists, social workers and therapists. We need to mobilize more human resources!

And the looming Teachers’ strike perhaps?
