David King delineates the choice Albertans face.

An education system that fosters community & solidarity

Or an education system that favours individual freedom/liberty

But you must make this choice assuming the veil of poverty - not wealth

What say you now?

The function of a book ban is to establish the right of the state to micro-manage education, making the expertise of educators irrelevant at best, treasonous at worst.

They want the public to argue over details because it entrenches state authority. "Certainly not THAT one! The rest, however...."

They’re not “predicting autism”.

They’re delaying support.

If you sent in an autistic-led team, we’d get every kid identified in under a year.

But instead of listening to us, they gatekeep, pathologize, and act like delay is a breakthrough.

It’s not.

It’s harm with pride.

This! It makes complete sense.
Unpopular (evidence based) opinion:

Disabled people who cannot work should receive higher than the minimum wage.

Because being disabled costs a lot more money… and given the minimum wage is meant to be the lowest amount a non-disabled person should survive on… it makes sense.

This is one of the reasons teachers rejected our last collective bargaining offer from this government. We don’t want, or need, yet another patronage-appointed UCP Committee to distill this. We already know exactly how to solve this…
Today the province announced a new "Action team" to address classroom complexity.

When asked why not just listen to teachers though, Niccolaides had...
