That’s such a shame. visited Santa Cruz last year and trinidad has great climate and population density for more active transit. But oml drivers there are intense.

In Canada we often have quite a lot of political funding come from car and oil concerns to try and quash cycling /public transit here. Is it largely the same case in Trinidad and Tobago?

To some extent I hate my old home island because there are such obvious solutions for improving our cities and towns(restoring the railroad/zoning reform) and never any will or urgency to get it done. Most of my friends back home still live with parents due to this lack of housing.

Yeah it was really a mistake to buy those on the cheap from the new haven lol, they left via to do all the service engineering from what I’ve read.

They solved the problems with the turbo train in winter by the time it was coming out of service. China has hsr in Manchuria and Japan in Hokkaido. The system is not impossible it just needs to be engineered for the cold.

I remember the first gen xtrail had this too (I think so they could make it right or left hand drive easier). Freaked me out whenever I went to check my speed. idk why a USDM car would have that though, did they ever want to break into the right hand drive market?
