White truffle bigoli (an add-on). We shared one serving: a little truffle goes a long way. The next dish was an homage to Russian/Soviet accomplishments in space.

Dinner Friday night at Next, Grant Achatz' other restaurant. They completely switched their theme every three to four times a year and they have been going for over a decade now. This menu was Space. It was very well put together and equal parts silly and earnest.

My only problem with a dish from this meal was that something (mint-like) was overly strong in the palate cleanser. Not sure what it was.

Big day Tuesday in Chicago fine dining: will Oriole or Ever get a third Michelin star to make up for Alinea losing its 3rd?
We dined at Ever last night and they could be good enough. It was a lot better than when we last went ~4 years ago. We ended up super stuffed of course. Drink pairings were 👍

One problem with vibe coding is you don't know what you don't know. I cut my Azure costs by 2/3 this month just by reducing the verbosity of my logging and it looks like I can easily cut it another 2/3. Still, even at $30/month this was a minimal cost for programs that make me thousands a month.
