Deathstate is a roguelike bullet hell that was released 10 years ago this week by a tiny team at a tiny game studio in WNY. Not only was it way before it's time but it deserved way more attention than it got. Vampire Survivors fans, check this out! #gamedev

i hope that some day games get past "we're going to force you to click this stuff" as tutorialization. i'm not a moron i know how to click things in a ui. explain WHY i am doing this. for as many board games i've played with bad instructions they at least start with what is the point of all of this!

loving BALL x PIT so far, but kind of wish they didn't add bullet hell style bosses to an otherwise really fun breakout/ballz kind of game! feels like a weird skill check for a skill that isn't tested much by the rest of the game (on top of my massive distaste for/bored by that genre in general)

kind of surprised none of the various retro youtubers have made a video about microsoft streets and trips. driving pre-gps! didn't even know it was technically around in the late 80s, thought it was always a late 90s-early 00s thing.

i'm pissed off about floss. oral-b glide has some new fucking microtexture bullshit that just gets shredded up and stuck in your teeth and feels like ass and makes it harder to get through tight gaps. i need to find a different floss brand now. floss enshittification!!!!!

man, overcast used to be awesome and well priced despite being a yearly sub. but between the recent rewrite and now jacking up the renewal prices in 2 years now at the max allowed, its now something i have reservations about. dont think i'm ready to switch yet but i'm def no longer excited about it.

I got to play the Heretic & Hexen rereleases ahead of their announcement at QuakeCon. So I talked to id Software and Nightdive about how and why they brought them back.

banning that ai bot from your discord doesn't actually do anything because its a user bot, not a server bot. it isn't invisibly sitting on your server, bots can't even do that. you can type the magic numbers into /ban if you want to feel good but you can just disable user apps for everyone here
