That´s a nice point, Jose, and something still to be checked. The (very, very) strong growth in exports of non-touristic services might be related to that as well.

They´re still quite significant because EU GDP growth is weak. In the last 4 quarters, annual per capita growth has been around 1.5% in Spain on average and close to stagnation in the EU.

...and 3) more closely linked to the strength of growth is the recent surge in net migration that is expanding the labour force and the consumer base (Spain has added some 2,5million foreigners since 2019). Quite spectacularly, c. 95% of population growth since 2000 comes from net migration.

It´s probably a combination of factors: 1) policies enacted since COVID and beyond (job retention schemes, financial support to firms, the iberian energy exception which drove inflation down much more rapidly); 2) investments and specially reforms linked to NextGenerationEU...
