Spire was THE MAN. Lava Immunity, wall climbing in alt mode, and easy access to all the best sniping spots. Learning the trajectory of his Magmaul had a bit of a learning curve, and he may not have been "meta" in multiplayer, but damn was he FUN!

Also inspired by MTG, WotC once did the inverse and released Full Text cards. Konami should make these too. Ruling issues could be quickly cleared up if players didn't have to dig through our well-documented and lengthy game rulebook, and could just read cards instead. Look how simple BEWD is now :)
This card’s name is Blue-Eyes White Dragon. 8 is its level, Light is its Attribute, Dragon is its type. Blue-Eyes White Dragon’s original ATK (Attack Points) equals 3000, and its original DEF (Defense Points) is 2500. A deck may contain up to 3 cards with the same name. It is a Normal Monster, which is a basic Monster Card without any special abilities. As a Level 7 or higher monster, in order to conduct your once per turn Normal Summon of this card from your hand onto the field in face-up Attack Position, you must Tribute 2 Monsters to conduct a Tribute Summon. This Tribute Summon can also be done in face-down Defense Position, which is called a Tribute Set. This Tribute Set on the field is NOT considered summoned. The Normal Summon action can be conducted during a Main Phase. During a Main Phase, the battle position of this card can also be changed to face-up Attack or Defense Position, or this card can be Flip Summoned by changing the position from face-down Defense Position to face-up Attack Position. The battle position of this monster cannot be changed during the turn that is was played onto the field. It cannot be changed in Main Phase 2 if Blue-Eyes White Dragon attacked during the Battle Phase. It cannot be changed if its battle position has been changed via this once once already this turn. During the Battle Step of the Battle Phase, this face-up Attack Position card can be selected to attack with, and 1 of your opponent’s monsters as your attack target. If your opponent does not have any monsters on the field, Blue-Eyes White Dragon can be selected to attack your opponent directly. Only 1 attack is allowed per turn. Blue-Eyes White Dragon does not have to be selected to attack with if you don’t want to. Seconding how important this is! I took free QPR training, sponsored by my local NAMI chapter and hosted at a nearby college. There are many wonderful resources available all around for mental first aid. Look around!

I pray I never have to use these skills, but I'm glad that I'm equipped with them.

I've been obsessively fine-tuning Golbez. s
Still haven't played a game with it yet, but I love the push and pull of artifact vs creature and trying to strike the right balance between the two.

Funnily enough, there are shockingly few "Crystal" cards in mtg, hardly any synergize with Golbez 🙃
