well there would be no value in doing that? Like it was 4 years later, him returning would have no impact on his disclosures at that point. you're essentially asking, why not return so they can go to prison? Bc prison sucks.

like i will absolutely admit that voters did not reward the massive investments and welfare expansions of the biden admin. but nothing starmer has done is remotely on the level, even in a relative sense, as ARPA or the IRA? they aren't similar at all.

manning was given 35 years and was literally sentenced right after snowden fled. robert hanssen got 15 consecutive life sentences. pollard got 28 years in prison and then five years on parole.

the other other reason I Think that snowden was a russian asset is that only ~1/3rd of what he stole was even NSA, and a lot was DOD/DIA on our military facilities [security], weapons R&D, foreign military capabiltiies, etc. and less than 0.1% of the stolen docs were given to the press. Wonder Why!

Pointing out that something is incorrect definitely isn't sufficient - the *culture* of "it is bad to make incorrect statements, good to promptly and clearly retract and apologize for them, and disqualifying to keep making them deliberately" is the framework needed for fact-checking to plug into.
