what isn't fine, though, is taking that difference in opinion and painting every person with a (reasonable, unbigoted, god I have to caveat this every time don't I) critique as being "lesser than" in some way

it's cool if you liked it. it's fine if you saw the things I thought were flawed and found they resonated with you. that's the beauty of art, isn't it? that we can come to different conclusions engaging with the same material?

I didn't like DT. the things I didn't like about it would take much longer to explain than a quippy post on social media, but I (personally!) thought it was poorly written
