Thanks for sharing this -- they post a table of values for male/female vocal tract parameters asmp-eurasipjournals.springeropen.com/articles/10....

We present a simplified, p5.js version of the vocal tract synthesizer from Neil Thapen's popular Pink Trombone, adapted for use in a creative coding assignment concerned with interaction design and absurd puppeteering.

Feeling nostalgic for vacuum fluorescent displays of my youth, I've added p5.js implementations of 7, 14, and 16-segment procedural typefaces to my archive of p5-single-line-font-resources: github.com/golanlevin/p...

For some super arcane deep cuts, I've ported JT Nimoy's "Textension" vector font (1999) and Douglas Hofstadter's "Letter Spirit" gridfonts (c.1987-1996) to p5.js, now available in my archive of p5-single-line-font-resources: github.com/golanlevin/p...

One of the ice cream shops in my neighborhood sells Lactaid at the counter for 50¢. I asked them how many people buy them and they said roughly 1 per hour. Alas, I've tried numerous times but can't seem to convince the other place, whose ice cream I prefer, to do the same.

Hi friends - do you have any examples of artists creating their own image datasets from scratch, specifically in order to train ML / AI models?

For example, in order to produce her "Leaves of Manifold" series, Helena Sarin scanned 1000 leaves from her backyard to train a GAN.

@tega.bsky.social This 1985 book, re-coded by Julien, has a face generator, "Le programme DES CENTAINES DE VISAGES" :)

Genuary 2025, Day 3: "Exactly 42 lines of code." A tool for drawing with the osculating (kissing) circles of one's stroke.

As an excuse to make a p5.js SVG Font generator, I'm thinking to try my hand at filling out Douglas Hofstadter's notional "Letter Spirit" fonts (1987) from "Fluid Concepts and Creative Analogies".

Procrastinating by making some more demos for p5.plotSvg. This one generates a teeny flipbook from a two-second recording of a face-tracker: openprocessing.org/sketch/2488219

As you can see, I'm procrastinating.

Tried constructing a four-syllable rebus this time. Same result.

Here's another.

Honestly kinda fun. The world is more interesting because of this problem.

Like clockwork.

Totally able to verify this.

Recovering "Obzok" (2001), a friendly blob I created for Singlecell.org, along with his spring mesh debug view.
