Seeing recs for Frieren everywhere and I started it and it IS good.... But partner mentioned "ohhhh this is where the 'justified racism' comes in" on the last arc we watch and oh my godddd it's such a a real comment and really came out of left field for me

Aww, so I'm onto novella 5.5 about a cousin and loooove how much character voice is in the narration (13y girl) but even more how the footnotes they got a different narratior (old man voice) to do the footnotes as he explains what "sus" means. Delightful choice!

Genuinely I'll just listen to books I'm 30s intervals because I cannot deal with this!! Some reason, audio hits me harder on this stuff than reading physical words. I'm dyinnnnnggggg.

I can feel the molasses pull of not finishing this book because I don't want the characters to be betrayed so if I don't read that part maybe they be cool and not do it!! But also I'm like **multiple** books behind

Ahh Rivers of London always reminds me how I feel reading and listening to audiobooks are largely interchangable:
I got to one of the later books when I was listening through and I was like "but I've read this one before!! How do I not have it??" turns out I had the ebook not the audiobook lol.

Slowly working my way through The Mysterious Affair at Styles and just oh my god the narrator is just a very good part fall man. Endless oh you sweet little idiot moments.
Never thought to like actually try Agatha Christie before now but she does have a way :D
