Why is it that an app that people use to talk and spread info is apparently more dangerous and requires quicker reactions than weapons that are being used to take peoples, especially children's, lives?

I am wanting to get back to making games and writing stories but it feels like there is nothing there. It feels as though I am trying to pull water from a dry well. I have been told that I am burnt out and need time to heal but how do I do that? It has been over a year. Shouldn't I be healed?
