My only target audience, like my artwork, is for me. I get overjoyed when people enjoy my art, but I see that like a happy bonus 💖. If I'm not true to myself, then people will easily see through that. I don't want my art to fall into that capitalist trap. My art is for self expression.

I wanted to appeal to everyone, but in the end I knew in my heart it would appeal to nobody - including myself. So I started this new novel and it's only made me more happy. I'm not stressed about making an audience. I'm not stressed about how niche it is.

I am really happy with how my novel is coming along. Unlike the novel I started writing before this one, I took an approach that is my raw feelings and is unapologetically me. I was so stressed about how people would view my other novel that I got burnt out at 30k words.
