I mean, even if that isn't the case and he's just for real completely sincere just like a super mentally ill guy, I feel like a lot of folks who should (or do) know better feed into it. I guess at this point it's just a part of online culture no matter your politics sadly.

I really wish this guy could fade into total obscurity. Everyone treats him as this oblivious """lolcow""" type , but no matter how much of a weird freak he is, I still think he is also getting off on the attention and consciously playing up his weirdness to get it.

I was gonna say they should give Olyphant more legacy robot roles, considering how good he is in that alien show, but that is kinda hollywood producer-brained, isn't it?

The (fairly good) netflix anime ditching arnoldface and instead getting Timothy Olyphant for voice worked really well. Lot of the horror / suspense stuff in how the t-800 emoted and acted there IMO really benefited from being free from that constraint.

Why not both? I don't get why the word "friend" triggers in these kind of extreme apocalyptic visions of a parent who isn't parenting at all.
I think it was incredibly valuable to my wellbeing that my parents were people I could share interests and joke around with. Approachable, not stoic jailors.

I think an even broader model of this kinda thing is basically the common consensus on the (much maligned) mainstream trans subreddits, which seem to catch way way more (relative) later bloomer types scared of the three-letter acronym VS a lot of other online spaces.
