Here's a comparison between my Hexbeam antenna and my 240' doublet. The station is Ravi S79VU (Seychelles in the Indian Ocean). I had a QSO with him just before taking this short video. Very good band conditions today!

Finally got time to raise the antenna. It’s at about 40’. I used a boom lift to simply lift it up and place it on the mast. Worked well for my situation.

Hexbeam finally up! So far so good. It’s up about 40’. I’ll do more testing with it during the day tomorrow.

Hexbeam (K4KIO) installation coming along. Rotator installed and 34’ push-up mast in place. Mast is 3’ off the ground in the mini-tower, so a total height of 37’ (at the baseplate of the Hexbeam). The 20M elements will be 3’ above the baseplate for a total height of 40’ on 20M. #hexbeam #hamradio
