Teer and Kard return in their fourth adventure.

His own anger was bad enough...

Phwoof.

The outline for Spirit Blade is 13,300 words.

Okay. So odds are that this is going to be two books, tentatively "Spirit Blade" and "Sand and Cinnamon"

And so my plans for an urban fantasy trilogy begin to disintegrate before I even start writing book one!

We will see.

The biggest collection of historic Russian armour outside of Russia is in Finnish museums and store rooms.

Something I've seen their senior military leadership occasionally remind their Russian equivalents of.

Happy Independence Day to all Finns!

That I can hear my neighbor's furnace when it's on is a bit disconcerting.

There's a solid 3 meters between the houses.

Welp, I've had three very productive writing days.
And this outline still isn't done.

The good news is that I think the level of detail will make writing the book much easier and that there is a clear divide point if I do end up needing to split it in two.

About six hours left!

Pick up any titles you're missing, try audio, or grab everything--add the Vol 1 boxset to your cart and be prompted to add other series books, getting you everything available for about twenty bucks. 👀 (That's over 800K words to read!)

This sounds amazing. I'm still working on a gluten-free bun recipe, but this may be something to try once with extra dough once that's mastered...

So, at my usual roughly 30:1 rate, the outline I already have would be 180,000 words and I'm only 60% of the way through the story.

This is going to be a 10,000 word outline. It's enough more detailed that I'm not expecting 30:1, but I'm still starting to wonder if I need to make this 2 books

Does anyone (paging @skyladawn.ca ) have thoughts on the best way to do urban fantasy covers these days?

Current elements in mind are dude, cat, glowy sword, probably burning building.

Seeing a mix of things on bestsellers right now...

Or just to own and run them in the same sociopathic way as Henry Ford who, *checks notes* made sure his people were paid enough to be able to afford his expensive luxury product?
Why don't we expect people to just own factories for the love of the game, huh?

It feels like I have always been working on this trio of serberys raiders.

They are finally done! I now have 500 points of Adeptus Mechanicus painted up for my partner to try out 40K with.

...

I also have no idea where the terrain and table mat ended up in the move.

I don't usually write outlines at the level of detail this is pouring out at.

The good news is that it will almost certainly make writing the book much easier.

The bad news is that I'm 3K words into the outline and only 40% of the way through the story.
