right wing media is allowed to make up a fake woke shooter whole cloth out of nothing and yet i'm not allowed to make the basic inference that "stoning gays to death is god's perfect plan" might indicate a particular view on the subject bc he didn't come outright and say it
Snippets that omit context aren't actual quotes. Kirk never said gays should be stoned, he never said he didn't want to fly with a black pilot. Yet these are viral. There is a TON of objectionable stuff he actually SAID to damn him for, without my profession sullying itself with sloppiness.
When people supply ACTUAL QUOTES of what Kirk said, that's not "gross distortion".
