Co-creating reparations and other forms of redress with survivors of conflict-related sexual violence.
Since the war in Sudan broke out in 2023, +740,000 people have sought refuge in Chad. Many arrive carrying the trauma of CRSV. In the east, Adré and Aboutengué refugee camps are where stories begin to surface, where women rebuild in the aftermath of violence, and where a rapid response is needed.

As we mark the ID for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, it is an urgent reminder that an estimated 840 million women and girls globally have suffered intimate partner violence or sexual violence.

And yet, some stories barely surface. The impact on lives and communities is devastating.

At the Global Survivors Fund, we believe true repair begins with survivors.

Co-creation means every project starts with one question: “What does repair mean to survivors?”

While the answers might vary - from compensation to livelihood support or education – the result is always transformative.
