Had my first cocktail of the season. Amaretto, ginger preserve, orange juice and cocktail cherries. Went down very well. If I didn't have to work or parent I'd quite like to spend the next month slightly drunk. Need something to take the edge off life.

Have to say I do feel a bit sorry for Londoners in small houses that for unfathomable reasons are now worth millions. But hey, at least they get to keep most of that unearned income in the family.

My latest pet peeve is when someone uses 'would of' instead of 'would have'. It's everywhere. Hate it.

Just had brilliant idea to move carpet in bedroom to the living room which will save £400 on new carpet, while I get floorboards repaired upstairs. A job for next year probably.

Met someone today who was described to me as an odd-ball. He was thoughtful and direct and lacked the traditional local loud mouth ego. If this town wasn't so pretty I'd despise it.

Superdrug too expensive for me now. At least on website (twice the price of Amazon). Seems cheaper in store for some reason 🤔 Expect they'll be the next ones to go.
