“Hold it.” Megumi huffs. He grips Sukuna’s arm tighter as they walk down the sidewalk, digging his nails into his bicep on purpose. His way of punishing him for making them take this stupid detour when he knew that Megumi had to piss. “Asshole,” Megumi grumbles. Sukuna throws his head back and laughs. Raindrops skitter down his throat. Megumi tries not to stare. “Come on,” Sukuna says. “You like it, don’t you?” Megumi glances over his shoulder. There’s no one nearby. “Asshole,” he repeats. “Anyone could’ve heard that.” “Could’ve heard what? That you like holding in your piss?” Megumi snatches his hand away from Sukuna’s arm. He marches ahead of him. He doesn’t get very far. Sukuna grabs the back of his jacket and pulls him close. “Where do you think you’re going?” Megumi’s cheeks color. He’s starting to really feel it now. “To find a public bathroom.” Sukuna rests a hand on the back of his neck. It’s casual. Light. Megumi knows a warning when he feels one. “You’re going to keep walking,” he says. Megumi purses his lips and looks away. The pressure in his bladder is just on the other side of too good. He exhales shakily. He really is trying to hold it in. “I want you to say it,” Sukuna continues. “I’m going to keep walking,” Megumi mutters, avoiding eye contact. They step in a small puddle. The water splashes upward, wetting the cuffs of Megumi’s jeans. His bladder starts to hurt, just a little. It feels so full. Megumi shivers. He feels like a freak. “And you’re going to hold it,” Sukuna says. Megumi’s not looking at him, but it doesn’t matter. He can hear him smirking. He’s a freak, too. Probably wants Megumi to wet himself in public. Probably wants to see Megumi cry. Megumi looks at him. He lets go, just a little. Feels a trickle slightly soak his underwear, run down his inner thigh. “And I’m going to hold it,” he tells him.

He’s still eating.” Satoru pouts. He stays quiet. The waitress smiles and walks away. “A fruit tart can’t give you head,” Satoru says. “How do you know I wanted to fuck the fruit tart?” “I can see it in your eyes.” Suguru laughs. Satoru smiles a little. Their feet brush up against each other underneath the table. “Okay,” Suguru says. “Fuck the fruit tart, marry you, kill the curse.” “Aw, you wanna marry me?” “Of course I do.” Satoru blushes. He wolfs down the rest of the fruit tart. “What about you?” Suguru asks, wiping the corner of Satoru’s mouth with a napkin. “Marry the fruit tart, fuck the manta ray, kill you.” Suguru kicks his leg.

If he had known — He hadn’t known. He opens the door. There are bags under Suguru’s eyes. He looks exhausted. He’d looked exhausted for the past few months. Satoru reaches out. He cups his face. He rubs his cheekbone with his thumb. “Couldn’t sleep?” he asks. He doesn’t know. Suguru closes his eyes. “Can I sleep with you tonight?” he asks quietly. His voice is weak and brittle. He sounds like he’ll shatter if Satoru drops him. Satoru nods. He closes the door behind him, watching Suguru slowly climb into his bed. He pulls the covers up to his chin. He’s shivering. It is not cold. Satoru gets under the covers with him anyway. He curls up next to him, tossing an arm around his chest. “Where did you go?” he asks. Suguru doesn’t answer. He won’t look at Satoru. If I had made him look me in the eye — Satoru doesn’t want to push it. He closes his eyes, resigning to sleep, when Suguru says, “Why do you love me?” Satoru opens his eyes. He’s never asked this before. He studies his expression, wanting to find…something, he doesn’t know what. He brushes his bangs away from his face. “Your huge dick,” Satoru says. Suguru huffs a surprised laugh. It’s gone too quickly. Satoru rushes to catch it. He traces his bottom lip and whispers, “Your smile. That’s one reason.” “And the rest?” “You don’t get the rest until you tell me what’s going on.” Suguru never tells him. He turns to look at him, expression unreadable. Eventually, he exhales. “Can you hold me?” he asks. Satoru gathers him up in his arms. “Of course,” he says against his neck. “Always.”
