I want us all to stop phrasing this as a “historic” wildfire season, myself included. This is likely our new norm based on all modeling (esp w/ rangeland fires). How we mitigate, adapt, and fund what’s to come is a huge 2025 & beyond session convo (snarky press releases aside, please).
The 2024 fire season cost Oregon emergency response agencies nearly $350 million. State leaders will meet in December at a special session to find a way to cover outstanding bills.

I keep checking the incoming results for HD 22 and the slowly creeping lead - from 1 vote to now 102 is giving me hope. A Dem super majority for the Oregon Legislature under a Trump presidency would be phenomenal.
This is why every single vote matters.

on here to say if you have access to a local library, get a library card!! it helps with library funding and also a lot of libraries allow you to read ebooks via an app called Libby (you can also send those ebooks to your kindle!!!)
