Industrial designer of useful things for healthcare. Medical & scientific illustrator. Recovering medical school anatomist and gross anatomy/pathology guy. Once held a piece of Einstein's brain. Friend to other peoples cats and dogs (it's not weird).
I showed my scientific illustration students this example a few weeks ago. Told them they may yet have jobs. Their confidence grew a bit, they seemed reassured.

Passing a massive project milestone on a picture perfect Friday morning calls for a celebratory cappuccino and sausage role. Today is a good day.

🇨🇦 If you haven't been following this, the Canadian women's rugby team has been dark horses all tournament, but they are very, very good. Just dismantled world champions NZ to earn a spot in the World Cup final, probably against England. Bravo, ladies.

Same. My students get sketchbooks and I'm...somewhat open to the AI thing, mostly because I'm curious how they will use it.

Well there you go. It's a mobility vehicle for people who suffer from, among other things, super-nutrition.

Don't even know what this is, but it's cold, sparkling, and it's so danged hot out that it should be perfectly drinkable.

Got try out my new casein paints AND go flying the other day, huzzah. #flying #painting

There was something wrong with your flow chart, Dr Moffatt, so I hope you don't mind my fixing it.

"It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas."

I'm 6'1-2". I can barely see over the hood of this completely stock GMC Sierra. Designers, what are you even doing here? Without a sloping hood - with this cinderblock aesthetic - how is the driver supposed to see anything in immediately in front of them?

This is on our fridge, but should be in an ornate frame since we're always "returning to running". It works: gets you back running without pushing too hard again and without you feeling like poo on two sticks.

Most favoritest time of the year. Everything so green, so new, so much new life afoot. Saw snakes, butterflies, beaver, woodpeckers etc.

And the ubiquitous, prominently placed bag of dog poo in the woods. What is really going through the mind of a dog walker when they do this?

The real 🇨🇦 election issue is the price of buttertarts. Chalice tabarnak!

"What sort of times could possibly have inspired Bruegel's Dulle Griet", I wonder out loud.

This little beauty has been in my neighbourhood for years. It seats 2 (two)! And it makes a Hyundai Elantra look enormous. I want / covet it, but at 6'2" I would never fit.

I am also a little biased... (and disappointed that we don't get the GTE in Canada)

Oh, I'm just drilling away some of the zygomatic and harvesting a little bit of the temporalis muscle to, uh, patch up this opening I made in the frontal & sphenoid bones - but only after I went in through the orbit via the eyelid. Skull base surgery is weird stuff #SciArt

I would just like trains that didn't weight a lumbering 500,000lbs, and can start and stop in a reasonable distance permitting a top speed a little higher than that of a GOtrain (max speed captured below).

Yeah, this jives. Ham-fisting the markets like they ain't never been ham-fisted before (in recent memory (without a deadly virus aiding in the cumulative ham-fisting)).

I can be of modest assistance here.
