What if the negotiation meeting between Putin, Zelensky, and Trump were to take place in The Hague? At the International Criminal Court? Perhaps Bibi could join?

Just a thought.

It doesn’t surprise me that the autocrat-wannabe who wants to “annex” Canada and Greenland is anxious to host the autocrat who’s busy “annexing” Ukraine. And we shouldn’t be surprised that the wannabe talks about having Ukraine cede territory even before a negotiation. Nothing is sacred anymore. 🇨🇦

“Only the weak will fail,” he says on the golf course. At least he’ll never be found guilty of the “sin” of empathy. ⚓️📕

“A plea for mercy, a recognition of the stranger in our midst, is core to the faith,” Presiding Bishop Sean Rowe, the Episcopal Church’s top clerical leader, said …. “It is radical, given the order of the world around us — it is countercultural — but it’s not bound to political ideology.”
Some Liberal Christians Find Comfort in Bishop Mariann Budde’s Plea to Trump (Gift Article)
The bishop asked President Trump publicly to “have mercy,” electrifying some liberal churchgoers in an era dominated by conservative versions of Christianity.

Missing from the religious right’s apologetic for the so-called “president “ this time around is any mention of Cyrus. It’s as if there’s no longer any need to excuse his areligious amorality. ⚓️

Just who is this so-called “president” who fancies himself an authority on worship, liturgy, and prayer—to say nothing of the Gospel itself? ⚓️📕

I found it jarring this morning to have the psalm at Morning Prayer (72) juxtaposed with the WaPo headline (“Trump Triumphs”). ⚓️🙏📕

For the last week or so, and for no reason I can discern, I’ve been trying to recall the words to “coritos” we used to sing in Nicaragua. I got “Pescadores yo os haré” in Spanish and English (the Miskito is long gone), but could only recall the chorus and one stanza of “Alabaré” …⚓️📕🙏

I haven’t seen this here (yet), but the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and the Diocese of Bethlehem voted today to reunify as the Diocese of the Susquehanna in 2026—pending all the usual canonical stuff. ⚓️

We’ve been binge watching “The Bench” on Acorn, two seasons of episodes about a Magistrates Court in Wales. Finely drawn recurring characters, human and humane stories, with each episode about 30 minutes. Highly recommended!⚓️

I remain impressed by how hard the MSM works to make the narrative into “Dems in disarray.” They just can’t give it up.

I am thrilled to share that the incredible @ddelgadovive.bsky.social has written an extraordinary guest post over at Life is a Sacred Text on the claim we hear sometimes about Jews being Indigenous.

It’s one of the most thoughtful things I’ve read in a while—and so worth your time.

I would bet good money that across every platform, including lefty/progressive ones, articles about the campus protests are way outperforming traffic for articles about the war in Gaza itself.

Getting really excited about tomorrow’s Lessons and Carols, especially since the service booklet finally made its appearance. Will The Chord make an appearance?
