You maybe right certainly Vietnam is popular compared to Thailand. Did you visit outside Bangkok? Maybe Bangkok doesn’t attract tourists like it used to and is an only a stop in on the way north to Chiang Mai etc or south to Koh Samui and Phuket etc. I live here parttime it doesn’t seem as touristy.
