Puppets from Connecticut’s Old State House Theater. #CTOSH Show opened in 1998. Puppets on display at Museum on the Green for limited engagement. Seen for first time in 20 years. Designed and built by graduates of #UCONN Puppetry Arts Program. Based on Museum of Curiosity 1797.

Welles-Shipman-Ward Property in Glastonbury. 1755 Connecticut River mansion built by a shipbuilder family. Welles built three privateer ships during the American Revolution.

Archaeology Site in South Glastonbury/ Special Exhibit Currently on loan at the Museum on the Green. Items include a Jesuit ring, a 1693 coin from Yemen and many other interesting artifacts. HSGCT.org

John Hollister Site, Archaeology Dig on the Connecticut River in South Glastonbury. Ten years and still digging. Artifacts from the site are on loan at the Museum on the Green for a special exhibit.

The town, community and historical society helped save the former 18th century home of Daniel Wright and the Gaines Hotel form the mid 19th century at the Glastonbury, Connecticut town center from destruction.

At the Museum on the Green, besides the permanent exhibit being updated, we have changing exhibits AND now a special "pop up exhibit" for a limited time, Victorian clothing worn in Glastonbury. Beautiful clothing in fine condition that has not been seen in over 50 years. Until the end of the year.
