Love it! I seem to be in a corridor that doesn’t get any, or just don’t have the right mix of native plants.

S/F ratio is very simple to use and at a surprisingly high level predicts when a patient with sickle cell is likely to go to the ICU due to ACS.

In sickle cell we have moved more towards calling it “transformative therapy” which I think patients and their families respond really well to.

I am sure there is more . . . Feedback, ideas?

Most importantly no provider would ignore pain.

I think we would be able to help patients get individualized care that for their lifestyle - with some taking the risks of gene therapy for a cure and others having a full range of oral and IV therapies to manage symptoms.

I think if that had happened we would be able to better prognosticate many different complications.

I spent some time thinking about what it would mean to have had a full complement of support and funding for sickle cell for many decades.
