Fwiw I tend to be picky and I really like it. As for the childish character, I can be put off by that too, but they’re not being sus about it at least up to the point I’ve read to. She’s short to accentuate the fact that the MC is taller than average, that’s about it.

A Joyful Life, heavy but a really good story, TL isn’t great and can be a bit hard to find though
Twinstar Cyclone Runaway (not sure if it’s that niche), unique sci-fi setting, fun characters, LN recently started getting a fan TL, manga is good too.
