Consensus.app is an AI-powered search tool using #Copilot based on LLM; ask a question, click on search, get an answer with bullet points / references to published papers. No fake citations—but summaries have errors. wiki.ubc.ca/Consensus

Talk to your librarian folks about using other sources, too.

The #MTIX (Medical Text Indexer neXt gen) is NLM's automated indexing / AI powered indexing system that uses #NeuralNetworks

🐧To know #MEDLINE in 2025, we must know more about AI & neural networks.

Re: PubMed.AI

📭AI-powered tool designed to "enhance" searches and support evidence-based med decision-making
✏️Is @NLM_NIH behind this AI? If not, who is? I can't see anything to indicate transparency.

Talk to a medical librarian, folks. #medlibs

Re: @openevidence.bsky.social #PubMedAI

📭OpenEvidence outperforms pubmed.ai by delivering concise, clinically focused summaries
✏️Clinicians should use these tools as adjuncts to, not replacements for, clinical expertise and comprehensive resources like UpToDate.

Pope Leo's mother Mildred Martínez was a #librarian. He will carry his beloved mother's love of books in his heart (and mind). 📚

Mildred Martinez Prevost was of Spanish decent, and graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor’s degree in library science in 1947. Mildred passed away in 1990.

Here's a better view into the searching and those GL papers. Thanks for the question. Before we complete the manuscript, these numbers have to be updated as new papers have been published.

Giustini, Dean. “http://Undermind.Ai (Product Review).”

Bottom line: #Undermind.ai is a useful tool for early searching; librarians must consider #ethics in #AI #medlibs

In his 2023 book, #Floridi argues humans must not be treated as data points in AI-driven systems but must remain active responsible, ethical agents in infospheres.

Why cede intellectual autonomy incl. our human dignity to blackbox AI? An argument I've been developing as pushback in my own field...

Happy Valentines Day, all! 💝

The Greeks had many types of love, eg:
. Philia, friendship
. Agape, love for all
. Philautia, self-love
. Storge, family love
. Ludus, playful love
. Eros, sexual passion

Even if you are feeling alone today, you are definitely still loved. #Valentinesday2025

I followed up with #deepseek about #hallucinating reference #3. Here's its response (which recommends a paper that is not on point). #medlibs

Testing #deepseek today given the hubbub, crash of the #NASDAQ & techbros saying it's a "game changer".

In my early testing about my research into "automated indexing of #Medline" it hallucinated about 1/3 (33%) of the references. More testing to follow. #medlibs
