What more can I even say? Culture defining? Identity defining? Hypnotically beautiful and wonderfully horrifying? The most harrowing moments I've ever seen on screen? I've never felt so personally connected to a movie like this.

I was not expecting this movie to be three quarters a comedy. A couple bits in here fell flat for me but otherwise this was pretty funny and got its message across pretty well. I can't help but compare this to /tttt/ brainworms and that level of self destructive narcissism.

Pit in my stomach. This movie will remind you why it's important to maintain a capacity to feel and to love. The 2014 section is both parts absolutely chilling and unintentionally hilarious. AMAZING sound design. Marred by QR code fucking credits (???) and the cat scene.

Biblically accurate trans masc. Comedy is hit and miss, mostly hits. Love The Penguin in this. He reminds me of my roommate. The convo with the mom is one I wish I could have had with mine if she wasn't a fascist. The ending is some grade A hopium. Solid indie film.

Was a bit disappointed with this one tbh. The cgi is really cheap and bad and it makes the action feel really off compared to Fury Road. It's saved by Anya Taylor-Joy being absolutely ICONIC and George Miller's excellent cinematography. Don't have much else for this one.

Lesbians are eating good this year. The acid trip sequences are absolutely hilarious in context with their payoffs. The end is the greatest newspaper headline ever. I have now concluded that when lesbians die they go to the college cheerleader make-out basement in the sky

Dev Patel looks at the camera, says trans rights, and executes cops. The action in this movie is fucking brutal. So glad Jordan Peele gave this one the love it deserved. Patel pulls off the brooding John Wick-esque main character really well. Based anti-Hindutva politics.
