I am kinda tired of ragebait posts that don't understand the procedural background of things to misrepresent why things are done the way they are, I get law is complicated but don't then run a layperson analysis without any input from people who actually understand what's happening

(I'm eliding a lot of specifics because character limit, but a lot of the things going on in the legal sphere should be enjoined pending final decision, and increasingly the Supreme Courts overturning of injunctions is a decision in and of itself)

I really do blame the Supreme Court for a lot of this, rather than some savvy understanding of power and law. Clear law is only easy to ignore if the Court you are in front of just ignores it, too and the Supreme Court has been increasingly shameless with its shadow docket rulings

I think the antisemitic part isn't the specific facts as much as an over-indexing of the influence? Like yes it is a thing that happens in the same way there are a lot of Jews in certain professions, but we don't control/direct the professions. It's a thing that exists but the influence is overblown

They seem to be canceling on a rolling basis here - if I remember correctly from last time, most hearings were cancelled right before or at the hearing itself for the first couple of days until the shutdown really sinks in
