We've become such a swamp of a country it's unreal. The kind, open, welcoming place I was brought to believe in seems to be shattered. I don't know whether it's just the bigots shouting louder than everyone else, or if it's always been this way and they're now emboldened by the likes of Farage.

I was in Ellesmere Port today. Flags everywhere, a Trump sticker and a 'stop the boats' sticker that someone had at least had a good go at taking down. Grim.
