Poiché è difficile distinguere i profeti veri dai falsi, è bene avere in sospetto tutti i profeti...(Primo Levi)
The ongoing self-flagellation by the BBC + political punishment beatings are off the scale. The edit was bad & wrong, no argument there. Apologise & take down the prog, but the insurrection happened because Trump whipped it up. What more is there to retract or compensate for?

I live for time I can check social media, turn on the radio or open the iPad and my day won’t be ruined by the latest outrage/bile/lie (delete as appropriate/all of the above) from Trump & his UK-based brand ambassador & tweed-clad wannabe PM, doesn’t ruin it before my feet touch the floor.🤯

He comes across as a throughly nasty & disingenuous bully who combines ignorance + arrogance, heavily leavened with toxic racism. Very disturbed by the proliferation of loud and proud racist public comments and the open hostility, often with threats of violence, toward anyone visibly different.

Ironically this presser trashing the BBC was carried them. Is that the same BBC whose news agenda is dictated by the latest flatulent outpouring from Trump’s GBeebies wannabe dictator, who also seems to have his own chair on QT? But hey, you give us your wisdom on impartial broadcasting, Nige!

The BBC should just say sorry again, and promise to play his Jan 6th speech in full. It feels like some are trying to argue that the BBC have somehow distorted the speech. Then play it in full. It’s all there in its full inciteful glory.

Quisling Farage is just the worst. Trump has bullied, tariffed, threatened & trash-talked US allies all over the world whilst pandering to dictators & war criminals. BBC edit was poor, but the point stands: he incited an insurrection where people died & wants to sue everyone to make his lies truth.

You’re made of stronger stuff than me: 8+ mins of this dog whistle rubbish is more than I’m prepared to endure. TBH why wouldn’t s/o ask the veteran what he meant? He wasn’t explicit, so how were we supposed to know? Adil Ray was doing his job as a host by questioning & not leave people guessing.

No one who listened to Trump’s speech at the time can have had their interpretation altered by a BBC edit of the whole damned thing.

He incited a failed insurrection.

A man who lies habitually is extorting millions from broadcasters, having comedians fired, and forcing resignations.

Silly me: I thought it meant they could only find 4 students to support them..😈

Did anyone stand up and say: “you sold them this lie, mate!” Or would that require a spine to face down accusations of journalistic bias and the inevitable faux outrage from Farage?
