People learned to be awake and saw themselves in the other as friends and family. Curiosity drove us to ask questions of ourselves. Questions like"I wonder what's going on here that I find difficult." We learnt that we do not have to carry anger and hate on our shoulders. We could let pride fall....

Interesting! I assume the Idea is that people should look after themselves. The notion of community care be dammed. A nation and community divided prospers the autocrats.

There might be an idea implicit in this. Make the dollar cheaper in comparison to other currencies so that imports are expensive but exports are cheaper.

Yes of course the people being deported should be working in the factories but one small point they first have to be accepted and naturally that may not be possible for now since they are not American even if they have lived here for some time.

It is a favourite talk of politics to find an outgroup so that inequality and poverty which they swear they are trying to eradicate can't be hung upon the shoulders of the outgroup. People become dispensable

There might be an idea that if you remove the words the community becomes invisible and disappears. Ridiculous I understand, perhaps the old proverb see not words, hear no words, read no words, write no words, makes for a different reality.

Literacy and knowledge are always a threat to those in power. Autocrats benefit from having populations that are illiterate and not knowing.
