In this weeks #substack I turn my attention to one of my favourite photographic subjects, the humble telegraph pole. This artificial forest that provides a technology canopy to our country and has become a bit of an obsession of mine. giles.li/4alHr44

Throwback Tuesday: This week we head to the Highlands of Scotland, the summer of 2023 and this old tractor. I just loved the combination of colours and, if I’m honest, it brought back happy memories of my youth, working on the farm during harvest 😁

Like them or loath them, these beauties are here to stay and I guess are emblematic of my photographic muse, the human landscape. This one in particular caught my attention earlier this week. It had a real Orwellian feel to it, like it was standing there watching me 😳

This week we go back to Christmas Eve 2021 and the shore of Lake Windermere in the Lakes. I took this shot on my phone while out for a dawn run. It was so peaceful. The perfect antidote to the mayhem that is Christmas.

A productive week photographically last week, as I chased ultra runners across Norfolk with my camera, managing to squeeze some personal photography in around this as time allowed. All the usual suspects are in there as well, plus a return to macro photography after the rain. Enjoy! giles.li/43iUkaR

This week we go back to June 2018, to sunset from the cliff tops on the North Norfolk Coast as I ran with my wife to the finish of the Norfolk 100 ultra marathon. It was a magical sunset and this was one of a number of shots I captured that evening.
