I wrote up a blog post on Request Coalescing in Go and how it helps handle Thundering Herds.
If you're interested in how to handle bursty cache misses, it's a pretty good read.
Implementation is done with a single sync.Map and one channel, Go is neat!

is there any blog post or documentation that explains how the network guarantees that no individual server going down can cause any loss of user data? how is it guaranteed that I can move all my posts etc to a different server if the PDS that currently hosts them disappeared?
