Fear, anxiety, rage? We're so back.

After years of Spurs tanking and Bron being the face of the team, I had achieved a detente in my head with the Lakers. Luka's arrival means the hateration is back, baby (recession indicator).

I hate this game.

Feel like this is the logical direction Castle's career will go which is to become a foul merchant. A shame.

C'mon, he's like the core demographic of American SPFL watchers: people who use the Glasgow derby as a proxy war for their cultural grievances (it me).

Man, totally forgot to mention Obama's cozy relationship with Big Tech lmao oh well what're ya gonna do??????

Anyway, Zohran rules and is a legit inspiration and the exact direction the Democratic Party should but won't go (unless we make them).

He was rewarded for this by getting beaten (as well as his VP-turned-candidate) by an actual insane person who is now hellbent on speed-running the destruction of the administrative state, ethnic cleansing, and turning the U.S. Treasury into his personal piggybank. Wheeeee!

Biden echoed this approach during his term, a hope that amity would convince the GOP to pivot away from Trump and revert to the *relatively* friendlier bipartisanship of the 90s and 00s (two terrible decades for people who give a shit about things!!!)
November 3, 2025 at 3:03 AM
Obama capitulated to the establishment voices in the party far too often, his lack of experience and lead-from-behind tendencies making him susceptible to elite capture. On immigration, the wars, and education he made good faith overtures to the right who wanted nothing to do with him.

The relative success of Bernie in 2016 and 2020 among Dems under 40 should have been a relevant piece of data. These were the same voters who made Obama happen in 2008. Dems assumed Obama's charisma and relatability was what brought them in. That helped, but it was his precient anti-war stance.
November 3, 2025 at 2:46 AM
Dems continue to come back to his well, either in the form of other prospective historic firsts (HRC, Harris) or Obama's VP.

Democratic brass promote substance-free Obama mimics as their hope to appeal to enough progressives without alienating their corporate base.

Ah but how would we INNOVATE without billions of dollars of our public education budget getting siphoned off by a handful of ed tech companies??? Don't you want our kids to able to work the jobs* of the 21st Century?

*jobs not guaranteed

I have a class set of bottom-of-the-line Chr*mebooks for the kids which virtually assures students major lag time on loading anything.

When I hit the lottery I'm buying them all MacBooks.
November 2, 2025 at 5:01 AM
To save money, our district abandoned all Windows laptops since MS bumped up the license costs. My work laptop is now a "Chr*mebook Plus" which I use for attendance/grades, Teams, printing (not great considering the online version of Word is not representative of what prints), and puzzles.

(Considering an M1 Mac Mini but that's not super cheap. But it will give me something I could use at home, too.)
November 2, 2025 at 4:12 AM
My personal mini PC I use at work is too old for Windows 11. I was debating getting another cheap mini PC to upgrade but everything I am learning about Windows 11 makes me think that literally anything is better at this point, including L*nux.
