Or if after an acquisition your connected thermostat switched from optimizing between comfort and energy saving to optimizing for feeding energy back into the grid at whatever cost. There are literally no rules, but when software tethers a product you purchased to the manufacturer, there should be.

Today you can see this easily with how social media platforms have shifted what they prioritize, but imagine the AI managing your meal planning pushing you to meals based on payments from an industry council or blacklisting seed oils.

But with AI embedded in more things, we'll no longer simply see connectivity and features die when corporate strategies or interest in a product wanes, but we'll see wholesale shifts in how things behave, often with little or no notice. And consumers may not realize what's happening.

If you have not been, Ephesus could be an awesome place to visit. I didn't know I liked mosaics until I visited the terrace houses and was awestruck. I don't recall sea creatures though.

They have invented one where you lay flat on your stomach and there is a hole for your breast and the camera revolves around it underneath the table. I cannot wait for those to be everywhere.
