Wonder what it'd be.

It's funny to see EarthBound fans surprised that Giygas was always intended to be pronounced "Gee-Gus". I've had many commenters make fun of me for saying it this way! Lindblom first revealed this back in 2013. That being said, I understand those who still pronounce it "Guy-gas" (it sounds cooler 😆)
Marcus Lindblom says to Shigesato Itoi "Fans aren't totally clear on how to pronounce the localized version Giygas, though. Some people say "Guy-gas" and others say "Gee-gus". I'd intended "Gee-gus" for it to sound similar to Giegue, except scarier." From the newest interview on Hobonichi (this specific segment is in part 4: https://www.1101.com/n/s/mother_project/marcus_lindblom_en/2025-04-03.html). Marcus Lindblom says "So in Japanese it's pronounced like, 'Geeg' So we all pronounced it as "Geegas". i don't actually know how weird i want to make her base gieeg form (she'll have a totally warped form), reason to follow >
