Half staff is a federal directive. It's done for lots of (most?) school shootings with fatalities. But they're making a big deal out of this one because the shooter was trans.

No, it was just a lucky accident. Apparently the shooter got the wrong office and meant to target NFL headquarters.

There is no such thing as an "AI" (or any other technology) without biases and values in it, but there very definitely is such a thing as presenting one's own biases and values as "neutral" and then forcing people to build "AI" which conforms to *those.*
