It just wasn't it for me. It felt like a retread of Lost mixed with Eureka. Slower than the former, not as fun as the latter. It just felt like if you watched Sci-Fi/Syfy original programming in the 90s/00s, Dark didn't really do anything all that special. Personally speaking, ofc.

...if it didn't completely upend the flow and narrative cadence built with the previous episode. I think it would've been better received back then if it were reordered or edited differently.

My issue with that episode is the previous episode ends with everyone trapped in the Hawkins facility, containment fails, and the power goes out. Instead of getting an immediate continuation of that moment, you get this subplot instead. I think the episode could've been received better...

I think Bungie Development "yes, ands" way more than it should. Crafting didn't need to be this weird reality altering device killing Mars to get drops with enhanced perks unavailable anywhere else. Crafting needs to have a trade-off and Destiny 2 made them the best weapons every time.
