it’s time. I finally ordered a rice cooker because I’ve decided I’ve burned rice for the last time

I’m on the fence about school cell phone bans but I feel like I’d be all in if they had a dumb phone exception

why is it so hard to find unscented non-pod dishwasher detergent 😭 Why does dishwasher detergent even come with scents like the last thing I want on my dishes is any sort of scent

a kind of funny uno-reverse card would be a private vax academy. the anti-Waldorf school where parents bring their kids so they don’t have to put up with health-threatening woo. Wonder how the ‘school choice’ crowd would react to that

idk man I grew up hearing about all the preventable diseases my family endured before vaccines made it to Belize and so I have very little patience for everything that brought us to this anti-vax present situation. ppl really don’t know how good we have it

I’ll never forget that dumb open house that Save the Montrose Live Oaks hosted. They had a tree guy there with a list of tree benefits and one was “cleans the air”. I ask “what do trees remove from the air besides CO2?” and he’s like “well… not really any” 💀 like pls just stick to the science man 😭
personally I think letting woo woo pseudoscience go unchallenged is risky in the long run. Like “plants purify the air” seems harmless until folks start blocking bike/ped/transit infra to save a few trees. Or thinking “green” freeway caps makes freeways healthier

Once I added a bunch of honey to an already sweet cornbread mix and whipped it up like cake batter and it came out like corn flavored cake. Idk I just think it’d be fun to add sweet beans to that flavor profile

My general book-buying policy has been “library/spotify first, then if I feel like it’s worth re-reading/sharing then go ahead and buy it” but like… $30 to re-read a book… man…
