Library tour! If you have even a passing interest in Runes, you owe it to yourself to get a copy of The Rune Primer by Sweyn Plowright. There is sooo much misinformation published about runes, and this book starts with the goal of identifying what is historically known.

Library tour! An Excellent Booke of the Arte of Magicke from 1567CE. This Scarlett Imprint edition has wonderful accompanying essays that give historical context. They assume a familiarity with other famous grimoires though, so not a great first grimoire to read.
